FAMILY READINESS MISSION VISION & GOALS

Our Mission:
To assist units as they support the families of Vermont National Guard members during peacetime and time of training or mobilization.  To also include assisting the family members of active duty Vermont Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Coast Guard and Marines.

Our Vision:
To have a fully functioning family Chain of Concern, working with a fully supportive military Chain of Command to enhance the readiness and wellness of both.

Goals:

• Identify needs to insure that resources are efficiently utilized

• Develop a clearing house/network that provides information and assistance

• Identify available resources –talents, skills and materials

• Create an effective network of communication that encourages and enhances information and dialog at all levels

• Provide support network

• Develop an education and training program that creates self sufficiency

• Get Command Support

• Get notification of active duty family members living in Vermont
