Web Based

Course Descriptions:
Information Operations 101 : Fundamentals of Information Operations

The purpose of this course is to provide students a "tool kit" on Army, other service and Joint IO by introducing
them to the critical processes employed in Army, other service and Joint IO planning and execution, including
terminology and definitions, IO organizations, and IO doctrine, capabilities and limitations.

IO 101 is conducted via self-paced online distance learning, and is reinforced with practical exercises and readings.
Instructors are available to impart guidance as needed to focus students on key learning points, assist in moving
them through the course, and provide feedback or assistance as needed to ensure that students successfully complete the learning objectives.

Graduates receive a DA Form 1059 (Academic Evaluation Report) verifying their successful completion of the
course.

Prerequisites:

IO-101 alone will provide students with a basic working knowledge of IO terminology, definitions, doctrine and
planning considerations.

IO-101 is the Phase I prerequisite for the Functional Area 30 Course.

Our expectation is that Tactical Information Operations Course students will have completed IO 101 prior to
arriving.
