MEMORANDUM FOR:  Computer Network Defense Team Operational Training Experience Course Attendees

Subject: Online Welcome Packet

1. Thank you for visiting Computer Network Defense Team Operational Training Experience course information page. This is a brief overview of course welcome information. Once you have a confirmed reservation in ATRRS you will be sent a detailed welcome packet. As a reminder, you must have completed the Incident Response Handlers Course (NGB-AIS-IRH) prior to your arrival at the Computer Network Defense Team Operational Training Experience Course.

2. The following administrative instructions pertain all classes:

a. Travel & Report Date/Time: The first day of the course dates is for travel for those who need to travel. Directions and maps will be included when you receive your full welcome packet. At in-processing you are required to provide the following documents. Please have copies already in your possession to give to the instructors.
(1) Copy of Prerequisite: DA Form 1059 for Incident Response Handlers Course (NGB-AIS-IRH)
(2) Original Signed Commander’s Pre-execution Checklist, IAW Appendix H, TRADOC Reg. 350-18. (Your unit should have this, a copy is provided as enclosure 3)
(3) Orders
(4) Travel Itinerary
(5) Completed Student Information Sheet (Enclosure 4)
After in-processing the instruction will begin at 0800.

b. Departure Date/Time: Students will be dismissed at 1300 hrs on the last day of the course dates, no exceptions. If flying, travel departure time must be after 1500 hrs.

c. Duty uniform for the class: BDU/ACU.

d. The typical class schedule is 0800 to 1700. However many group projects are completed outside of these hours. There is extensive course material; be prepared for some longer workdays. You must attend the entire class and successfully complete tests and group projects to receive credit for this course.

e. All contraband items are prohibited: No weapons, ammunition, explosives of any type, or knives with blades in excess of four (4) inches are permitted on the armory property.

3. Billeting, rations, and transportation are not available. Current Per Diem rates can be found at the GSA website, the RRTC is located in Washington County. Local options for lodging can be found here. Please check with the individual establishment for current rates and availability. Individuals are required to make their own lodging and transportation arrangements. Since there is no lodging or transportation provided, a POV or rental car is a necessity.
