This recent addition to our museum is a fully working 7/8 scale replica of a 1917 WW1 British S.E.5a fighter. This display took many years to complete with painstaking attention to every minute detail.

Power was provided to the aircraft by a 150 HP engine with a top speed of 135 mph and a ceiling of 20,000 feet.

Armament included a pair of .303 Cal. machine guns, one mounted on the top of the wing and the other on the left side of the fuselage. Both were capable of 550 rounds per minute. The plane could also carry a selection of small bombs.

This item generously donated to the museum by Ray Schneider.
