WWI FIELD KITCHEN
 

Here we present another unique piece that we have in our collection, the USS Eclipse field kitchen. This display has been nicely restored and shows very well in person. Stop in and take a look!

 

 

The manufacturer for this kitchen was Tappan Range Company ca 1917. The field kitchen is made up of two distinct pieces, the front supply section and the rear oven area. 

 

 

 

Other items that we have displayed with the field kitchen are:

• Civil War McClellan saddle

• 1902 Pattern Cavalry saddle bags

• Civil War period hobbles and handcuffs

• US Cavalry water bucket produced by Plante Bros. & Co, circa 1918

Along with our field kitchen we are also showing a WW1 field oven along with an officer's mess kit.
This oven was used for both heating and cooking in the field.
