Vermont State Guard recruitment
 

The Vermont State Guard is looking for dedicated men and women who are ready to serve their state.  Former military service members or experienced civilian career trained individuals, between the ages of 17 and 70 and possessing the skills, knowledge and commitment needed to perform organizational readiness and multi-tasking in an emergency, are desired by the Vermont State Guard.

The Vermont State Guard is made up of three groups:

Cadre:
are assigned to positions for readiness organization and immediate response capability. Cadre participation requires attendance in excess of 75% of all drills annually.

Reserve Cadre: are assigned to positions for readiness organization and rapid response capability. Reserve Cadre participation requires attendance in excess of 50% of all drills annually.

Emergency Member: assigned to positions needed in an emergency call up. Emergency member participation requires attendance in excess of 5% of all drills annually (yearly muster meeting).
